Job Opportunity: Site Manager - Fit Out Contractor - Dover

Are you an experienced and immediately available Site Manager with a strong background in commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects? Randstad is partnering with a highly respected fit-out and refurbishment contractor known for delivering exceptional projects across the UK. Our client specializes in creating inspirational workspaces for a diverse range of clients and is seeking a highly competent Site Manager to lead a new fit-out project in Dover.

Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership of on-site operations, from site setup to final handover.
  • Supervise and coordinate all subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring strict adherence to the project schedule and specifications.
  • Ensure the highest level of Health & Safety is maintained on site, in accordance with company and project-specific safety plans.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure all workmanship and materials meet project specifications.
  • Liaise effectively with the Project Manager, client representatives, and all stakeholders, providing clear and proactive communication.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any on-site issues or delays, ensuring project continuity.
  • Manage site logistics, including deliveries and material storage.
  • Provide regular and accurate progress reports to the Project Manager.
Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects.
  • A strong track record of successfully delivering projects on time and to a high standard.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on, and problem-solving approach to site management.
  • Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations within a construction environment.
  • Valid CSCS card (Manager/Professional level).
  • Valid SMSTS certificate.
  • Valid First Aid certificate.
  • Must be able to commute to the Dover area.
