Maintenance Engineer

  • Annual Salary: £35-45,000 per annum + 25% shift allowance for #removed#hrs
  • Location: Hungerford
  • Job Type: Full-time 37.5hrs- Afternoon Shifts #removed#hrs) and Night Shifts #removed#hrs)

We are seeking twoMaintenance Engineers to join our industry leading client. This role involves the maintenance—planned, preventative, and breakdown—of all machinery and equipment to ensure their smooth and efficient operation. This position offers significant potential for progression within the business for the right candidate,due in equal measure to sizable growth and expansion of the company alongside the needto create succession plans within the engineering leadership team.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Attend to all mechanical breakdowns and assist in machinery adjustments.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on various types of machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain machinery maintenance programmes and keep accurate records.
  • Assist in maintaining an inventory of spare parts and manage tool control on site.
  • Keep the workshop in a clean and tidy condition and maintain the building fabric.
  • Provide holiday and sickness cover as needed.
  • Deputise for the Chief Engineer and assist with clerical matters as required.
  • Complete all documentation relevant to the position.
  • Liaise with managers to help implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant UK law.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in mechanical maintenance.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with various departments.
  • Familiarity with UK legal compliance in maintenance operations.
