A leading health board in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse for its Adult Critical Care Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, supervising a specialist nursing team, and managing patient admissions. Candidates should have significant critical care nursing experience and hold a relevant postgraduate qualification. Fluency in Welsh is desirable. This role offers a salary ranging from £39,263 to £47,280 per annum, pro rata.
This is a fixed term/secondment vacancy until 31/01/2027 to cover maternity leave.

The successful candidate must have significant experience in critical care nursing, evidence of being able to lead a specialist nursing team and have a post graduate critical care qualification.
They should be a real team player, able to clearly communicate with those around them and have a calm approach to problem solving. They should be committed to creating an environment of continuous improvement and learning to ensure the best possible standards of care are maintained at all times.
Finally, they will have to demonstrate a passion for a patient‑centred approach through keeping the department organised and professional at all times.
A Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse post has arisen for enthusiastic, motivated experienced Critical Care nurses within the Adult Critical Care Unit in Withybush General Hospital.
A Sister/Charge Nurse within Critical Care Unit will have the responsibility of ensuring a high level of patient care at all times throughout the unit. They will be actively involved in, as well as supervising, the patients' care, managing planned and unplanned admissions and ensuring correct staffing levels. They will need to be confident in leading the Unit in the absence of Senior Sisters and be involved in coaching and developing more junior team members.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
