We're a busy 18 bedded intensive care unit that delivers care to all patients in Walsall and the surrounding areas.
The job will entail working as part of a well established hard working team who always put the safety of their patients first.
The post holder, in conjunction with Senior Sisters and the Matron, will work to deliver, develop and maintain a working team approach in a progressive clinical learning environment. The successful applicant will be expected to have an extensive post registration within critical care back ground.
Essential to the post is the Critical Care Course, to which the post holder should possess at least 18 months experience post course. They post holder should have leadership and managerial qualities, other senior management experience maybe of advantage. Including the possession mentorship course (ENB 988) or equivalent. Is also expected that the person in question should have excellent communication skill, be able to teach and mentor junior nursing staff and students, a commitment to team working and the ability to work effectively with the MDT to provide high standard of care safely to all patients.
You will be working closely with the Senior Sister in order to provide high standards of care and patient experience. The post holderwill be expected to work within ICU as part of their role, responsibilities and development plan .
You will be expected to follow policy and adhere to the NMC code at all times.
