Job summary

An innovative cosmetics manufacturer is seeking a Frontend Developer to oversee their website and Shopify storefront, transitioning from an external expert. You will enhance front end functionality and support a major re-branding project starting in January. The position is fully remote, requiring occasional meetings in Greater Manchester. Strong knowledge of React, GraphQL, and the Shopify platform is essential, with expertise in headless CMS being highly valued.

Qualifications

• Solid experience and understanding of React, GraphQL and the Shopify Platform and API's.
• Expertise with headless CMS systems or storefronts (ideally Shopify's Hydrogen framework).
• Experience with Unit testing (e.g. Jest, React Testing Library).

Responsibilities

• Work on front end enhancements, alterations and fixes until the large re-branding project starts.
• Collaborate with external developer and co-founders to market and sell innovative products.

Job description

An innovative cosmetics manufacturer who is merging technology and chemistry to create personal care products customised to the individual, is looking to appoint a Frontend Developer to gradually take the reigns of their website and Shopify storefront, from an external expert developer who has built and refined a polished and robust headless solution.

You will be working on various front end enhancements, alterations and fixes until January when they will start a large re-branding project which you will be intimately involved with.

You will have the support of the external developer and working directly with the co-founders to help them effectively market and sell their truly innovative products.

This is a fully remote role but if you were able to meet every month or two at their offices in greater Manchester, that would be ideal.

Requirements:

• Solid experience and understanding of React, GraphQL and the Shopify Platform and API's
• Expertise with headless CMS systems or storefronts (ideally Shopify's Hydrogen framework)
• Experience with Unit testing (e.g. Jest, React Testing Library)

Nice to haves:

• Experience working on systems for the Beauty, Fashion or Personalization industry would be beneficial
• TypeScript, Remix, Sanity Studio, Klaviyo or TailwindCSS
