Job summary

Five Guys UK is looking for a Shift Manager to support the General and Assistant Managers, lead a high-energy team on busy shifts, and ensure every customer leaves the restaurant satisfied with Five Guys standards.

You’ll coach and motivate staff, manage line and dining area, uphold Food Hygiene and Health & Safety, and contribute to a positive, fun work environment. This role also includes rewards, holidays and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience: Ideally at least 1 year of management experience in a high-volume hospitality or QSR environment.
• You know what it takes to run a busy shift and keep the energy high.
• Customer satisfaction focus with a track record of delivering excellent Mystery Shopper results and positive reviews.
• Financial awareness: understand basics of running a profitable shift and controlling waste.
• Leadership: hands-on leader who motivates the team.
• Operational excellence: knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards.
• Flexibility: available for varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front on line and dining area to support the team.
• Support the General Manager in delivering perfect burgers and fries and a great guest experience.

• Ensure each shift runs smoothly and guest issues are handled openly and promptly.
