About the role

We are looking for a Shift Boiler Operator to join the team at our Ashburton plant. Based on your experience and qualifications, your pay will range from $35.00 - $49.00 per hour. You will be working on a shift roster pattern 4 ON 4 OFF, 12-hour shifts and will be either working on Day or Night shift based on the team requirement. A night shift allowance of $22.50 per shift will be paid for any nights worked.

Responsibilities
  • Receiving instructions from the Maintenance Planner / Engineering Manager / Head Boilerman or others as the needs of the business requires
  • Being a point of contact on all day-to-day steam supply issues for the production equipment and any other services equipment
  • Taking ownership of quality system, food safety and HACCP program
  • Accurately maintaining all documentation and records, both written and electronic
  • Ensuring all work is done with the correct work request paperwork and all information is provided
Qualifications
  • New Zealand Certificate in Energy and Chemical Process Operations (Level 4, or with Level 3 and willing to work towards level 4)
  • Must understand and work on the ISO 9001 : 2015 certified Quality Management System and ensure that all activities and information are documented and available upon request
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight timeframes with sound problem‑solving skills
  • Strong verbal and communication skills across all levels in the business
