ABOUT YOU

As a Shift Analyst you will be responsible for the preparation and testing of submitted samples using both basic and advanced instrumentation. You will be trained and graded according to your capabilities ranging from Trainee Chemist to Grade 4 Chemist.

You will be someone who :

  • Has good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates a serious commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Has relevant computer skills and a willingness to learn laboratory standards and chemical properties.
  • Holds A / AS / O Level(s) in a related subject.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

You will work under the direction of the Shift Team Leader Team Leader or Laboratory Operations Supervisor and be responsible for a range of operational quality health & safety and compliance duties.

Key Activities
  • Log and assign test packages to samples.
  • Perform sample analysis and maintain accurate records.
  • Report results and produce sample reports.
  • Support method development and cover team leader absence.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal procedures.
  • Follow Health and Safety at Work Act obligations.
  • Report incidents and participate in investigations.
  • Use PPE and safety devices correctly.
  • Participate in safety tours and toolbox talks.
  • Highlight training needs and comply with company policies.
  • Submit expenses and monitor stocks and consumables.
