Job description

We are currently working with a third‑generation, family‑run construction business that has been established for nearly 90 years. The company has built a strong reputation as a trusted subcontractor, delivering high‑quality works across MOD, MOJ, and other secured sector projects. With a turnover of approximately £15 million and a headcount of 55 employees, they pride themselves on a high staff retention rate, underpinned by a strong team culture and a commitment to long‑term careers.

Due to ongoing growth and a desire to bring safety expertise in‑house, they are now seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the safety, health, environment, and quality agenda across the business, ensuring compliance and continual improvement.

Candidates with a subcontractor background will be at an advantage, as you'll understand the challenges and dynamics of working closely with Tier 1 contractors in high‑security and complex environments. It is also expected that the SHEQ Manager will be ok with nationwide travel due to sites being across the UK.
