Are you a SHEQ Advisor experienced in delivering Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards across utility projects? If so, then read on!

Our client is a leading Civil Engineering company delivering utility capital works across a variety of frameworks. As a result of continued growth and recent contract wins, they are now seeking a SHEQ Advisor to support their delivery teams across a range of utility projects.

SHEQ Advisor Key Essentials
  • Reporting to the SHEQ Manager, as SHEQ Advisor youll play a key role in ensuring health, safety, quality and environmental compliance across live projects within the utilities sector.
  • As SHEQ Advisor, youll provide site teams with practical support and guidance to help them achieve contract and business SHEQ objectives.
  • Youll assist with incident investigations, helping identify root causes and ensure lessons learned are effectively shared.
  • Youll promote a culture of proactive risk management, assisting with the preparation of RAMS and providing toolbox talks, training, and SHEQ briefings.
  • As SHEQ Advisor, youll help develop and implement systems and procedures aligned with ISO standards for quality and environmental management.
  • Youll support audits, produce SHEQ performance reports, and act as a point of contact for SHEQ matters across multiple projects.
  • This role will require travel to sites, engaging directly with operational teams to improve SHEQ behaviours and outcomes.
SHEQ Advisor Requirements
  • Proven experience in a SHEQ Advisor role within utilities or civil engineering.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards Diploma / equivalent).
  • In-depth understanding of industry regulations, CDM, and best practices in SHEQ.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to influence teams and promote a positive SHEQ culture.
  • Willingness to travel across a wide geographical area to provide on-site support.
