Overview

Job title: SHE Coordinator
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Permanent
Location: Seascale
Hours of work: Mon to Fri (37.5 hours)
Salary: Competitive

Role

The primary function of the role is, in line with business & legislative requirements, to support the SHEQ Manager in implementing and achieving the company's SHE philosophy, strategy & actions. To encourage and promote positive safety actions and behaviours and to provide support as required.

Responsibilities
  • To work effectively and positively with all employees, customers, contractors and visitors to promote a positive safety culture and awareness. To ensure awareness of personal SHE responsibilities to themselves, their colleagues and the business.
  • To provide relevant and accurate SHE advice, direction on company procedure, information and guidance to all.
  • To positively represent the company and the SHE teams at internal and external forums requiring a SHE presence. To provide positive contributions, completion of actions and timely reporting to other employees.
  • To undertake worksite inspections to the required standards and timescales, communicating and closing-out action points to completion.
Desirable Knowledge
  • Experience working within a legislative framework with agreed targets.
  • Previously worked as part of a team: contributing to and working with others. Willing to take on tasks to help team/develop self.
  • Experience of auditing.
  • Understanding of risk assessment best practice techniques.
  • Methodical, accurate & detail-conscious approach to work.
  • Able to deliver training and group presentations.
  • Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
