Shared Service Accountant

Wolverhampton

6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000

Full time – Monday‑Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Prince Personnel are proud to recruit for a well‑established prestigious manufacturing organisation based on the outskirts of Wolverhampton. The role of Shared Service Accountant will be a 6‑month contract supporting a number of entities across the EMEA region. You will support the monthly close cycle, financial and statutory reporting, and policy compliance for the entities you are responsible for. You will be responsible for preparing account reconciliations to be reviewed by the in‑country controller.

Duties will include:

  • Maintain integrity of general ledger and master data.
  • Perform monthly closing steps – settlements, depreciation and foreign exchange revaluations.
  • Prepare and post journals.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Intercompany reconciliations – balance sheet, P&L, loans and interest.
  • Prepare account reconciliations ensuring the process is complete and accurate, reconciling items are consistent, and unreconciled amounts can be easily explained and corrected.
  • Co‑ordinate research and resolution for all reconciliation issues.
  • Assist with audit requests.
  • Interaction with in‑country controllers, plant controllers and Global Capex and Inventory controller.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned, including other shared site accounting responsibilities.

Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to organise and manage multiple projects.
  • Experience of using SAP is desirable but not essential.
