Overview

Job Title: Sexual Violence Support Worker (Specialist Women's Service)

Location: Swansea

£13.00 per hour | 4 days per week | Temporary until March 2026 | 28 hours per week

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of women who have experienced exploitation, abuse, or violence? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join a specialist service that empowers women to make positive changes and move forward with independence and dignity.

Responsibilities
  • Providing emotional and practical support to women affected by exploitation, domestic abuse, and/or human trafficking.
  • Undertaking risk assessments and developing tailored support plans.
  • Advocating for women to access vital services such as healthcare, housing, and legal advice.
  • Working in partnership with multi-agency teams to ensure a holistic approach to support and safeguarding.
  • Delivering both 1:1 and group support sessions to promote independence, resilience, and empowerment.
  • Contributing to outreach work, including engaging with women in the community and supporting access to safer alternatives.
About you
  • At least 1 year\'s experience working with vulnerable people in a support role (paid or voluntary).
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and the risks surrounding exploitation.
  • Ability to build trust quickly, with strong communication and advocacy skills.
  • Organised, proactive, and confident managing a caseload.
  • A driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends if required.
