A local health organization is seeking a Sexual Health Prevention Worker in Wigan and Leigh. The role involves promoting positive sexual health through outreach and education for young people and vulnerable groups. Applicants must have a driving license and experience in sexual health promotion. This position offers a permanent contract with flexible working options and a generous pension scheme.
Locala sexual health services are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join the outreach and prevention element of the sexual health service. As an excellent opportunity has arisen, as we extend our outreach and prevention provision across the Wigan and Leigh district, for a sexual health prevention worker to actively promote positive sexual health across all ages with targeted interventions for young people and vulnerable groups including young people with learning disabilities and Autism. You will be required to establish and maintain relationships with key partners, working closely with sexual health/PHSE champions and leads ensuring sexual health promotion is available at every opportunity. Supporting the RSE delivery, and attending festivals and events to support the delivery of positive sexual health campaigns are key to the role. You will be required to lead on the C card scheme and condom distribution for young people under 25 and work innovatively to share key prevention messages including the use of digital platforms, whilst supporting schools and colleges in promoting positive sexual health education.
A Full Driving Licence Is Required.

Salary: £27,485 - £30,162 (pro rata)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 25 hours per week

You will be required to establish and maintain relationships with key partners, work with sexual health/PHSE champions and leads, and promote sexual health at opportunities. The role involves leading on the C card scheme, digital prevention messaging, and supporting schools and colleges in positive sexual health education.
