Qualifications

  • Experience servicing, maintaining, and fault‑finding on generators and critical power equipment.
  • Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) is required.
  • Self-motivated, hands-on engineer with a proactive approach.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, test, and repair generators and UPS systems.
  • Carry out inspections and load bank testing.
  • Support installation and commissioning activities.
  • Plan and supervise on-site works safely.
  • Provide technical support and maintenance reports.

Job Overview:

Unify are thrilled to be recruiting for a Service Technician to join a UK independent organisation, operating within a nationwide engineering and service‑led environment for power solutions and generation.

As a Service Technician, you will play a key role in the day‑to‑day delivery of engineering services. Acting as a field‑based technical representative, you will be responsible for ensuring equipment is serviced, maintained, and repaired to a high standard, supporting reliable operation and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service, maintain, test, and repair generators, UPS systems, and associated critical power equipment
  • Carry out inspections, site surveys, and load bank testing
  • Support installation and commissioning activities on customer sites
  • Plan and supervise on‑site works, ensuring full compliance with health & safety requirements
  • Provide technical support and complete accurate service and maintenance reports
Requirements:
  • Experience servicing, maintaining, and fault‑finding on generators and critical power equipment
