Job description
Healthcare systems are struggling; our solution is communication.

We have a bold vision: everyone involved in a patient’s care – including the patient – should be able to communicate easily with each other. And we believe every NHS staff member should be using our software to make that happen. We want to make healthcare genuinely better.

We are solving one of the biggest challenges of our generation and to do this we need the best talent possible to help us raise the bar. This is where you come in.

Our products are used daily (and you will have most certainly received a message from us) by over 98% of GP practices and half of NHS hospitals, impacting millions of lives. As a Service Manager your role will be mission critical and you will be central to shaping the core communication infrastructure of the NHS. You’ll directly enable faster, safer and more accessible patient care.

The Unique Challenges You’ll Solve

This isn’t just about providing a service to our users – this is a role which will make a difference. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Revolutionizing the way we manage our suppliers and ensuring peak performance.
  • Ensuring our Quality Management System (QMS ISO9001) is market‑leading and ready to transition to ISO13485.
  • Owning business continuity and disaster recovery process improvement for the business, ensuring Accurx is well prepared for disruptive events.
What We’re Looking For

We need a Service Manager who embodies our principles and thrives on significant challenges. We're seeking the core skills below, coupled with a mindset ready for real impact.

  • Project Management: Leads small to medium‑sized projects ensuring delivery within defined scope, timelines and resource allocation.
  • Procurement Support Experience
  • Stakeholder Management Experience
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement: Consistently identifies and leads on improvements within their team or immediate area, producing a robust rationale for action.
  • Structured Problem Solving: Demonstrates advanced structured problem‑solving skills employing systematic approaches and methodologies to analyse complex operational challenges.
  • Delivering at Pace: Successfully manages multiple projects, prioritizing effectively and driving performance to ensure timely delivery within their team or department.
  • Growth Mindset: Encourages a culture of continuous improvement, adaptability and learning. Embraces challenges and views failures as a learning opportunity.
  • Fix healthcare communication: Healthcare systems are struggling; our solution is communication – all of our efforts are centered here.
  • Raise the bar: We hire for expertise and new ideas, maintaining high standards and delivering work we’re proud of.
  • Be a driver, not a passenger: We make things happen, focus on the right problems and bring the energy to deliver ambitious goals.
  • Succeed together: We succeed only as a team. Our mission is too important for anything less; company success always comes first.
  • Move with urgency: We work at pace and focus on our mission and our users’ impact.
  • Be relentlessly resourceful: We embrace constraints, think differently, and stay creative and focused.
  • Embrace challenge: We value constructive conflict over harmony, having tough conversations for the best outcome.
What We Can Offer

We believe in supporting our team to do their best work and thrive both professionally and personally.

  • Salary: £45,000 – £65,000
  • Share options: £31,500
  • Access to Happl – a flexible benefits provider with a £600 budget to spend on perks of your choice (private health insurance, wellness providers, etc.).
  • Flexible working: We’re an office‑first culture and ask that you are in the office at least 3 days a week.
  • Enhanced parental leave policy.
  • In‑house chef – free healthy breakfasts, snacks and lunches with occasional sweet treat.
  • …and much more.
