Job summary

A leading compressed air solutions provider is seeking a Service Engineer / Field Service Technician to provide electrical and mechanical service on compressed air equipment across Devon and Cornwall. Candidates must have a strong field service background with experience in compressors and pneumatic systems. The role offers a competitive salary between £35,000 - £40,000, bonuses, and additional benefits including a company van and 25 days of holiday. Full product training will be provided.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a compressor engineer is essential.
  • Willingness to be part of the on call rota 1 in 5.

Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of compressed air equipment.
  • Maintain and repair air compressors, vacuum pumps, and other pneumatic equipment.
  • Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs.

Skills

Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical/mechanical compressed air systems
Field servicing background in compressors
Good working knowledge of three-phase electrics and controls
Ability to maintain good professional working relationships

Education

Technical engineering qualification, apprentice trained, FGas, HNC, HND or Degree

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer required to join a leading compressed air Solutions provider.


The Successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance on compressed air equipment at customer sites across the South West, including Devon and Cornwall. Earn a strong OTE with bonus, commission, regular overtime, and enhanced on-call rates.


The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer must have field servicing background in compressors, compressed air, vacuum pumps, nitrogen generators, air filtration, or similar compressed air systems. Full product training provided.

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer Role

To provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites South West, including Devon and Cornwall.



  • Maintain and repair air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and other compressed air and pneumatic equipment across the UK depending on your location.

  • Installing compressed air/water & nitrogen pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry.

  • Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment.

  • Earn a strong OTE with bonus, commission, regular overtime, and enhanced on-call rates.

  • Liaise with various engineering departments.


Requirements


  • Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical/mechanical compressed air systems.

  • Experience as a compressor engineer is essential.

  • The ability to maintain good professional working relationships with existing and new customers.

  • Good working knowledge of three-phase electrics and controls is advantageous.

  • Field servicing background in compressors, compressed air, vacuum pumps, nitrogen generators, air filtration or similar compressed air equipment. Full product training provided.

  • A technical engineering qualification, apprentice trained, FGas, HNC, HND or Degree would be advantageous.

  • Willingness to be part of the on call rota 1 in 5.

  • Homebased, willing to travel across the South West, including Devon and Cornwall.
