Service Desk Technician

Location: Liverpool | Department: IT Operations (Hybrid 2 days per week in Liverpool) | Reporting to: Service Desk Lead

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000

Client: International brand

We're looking for a skilled Service Desk Technician to join the IT Operations team supporting our client's wider group. You'll troubleshoot and resolve IT issues, manage incidents, and support colleagues across the UK and overseas offices. This role offers great career development in a growing multinational business.

What you'll do:
  1. Provide 1st/2nd line support via phone, email, and remote tools
  2. Manage, log, and resolve incidents in line with SLAs
  3. Troubleshoot hardware/software issues (Windows, Mac, Linux)
  4. Set up new user accounts and manage updates in Active Directory & Microsoft 365
  5. Build and deploy hardware (PCs, printers, peripherals)
  6. Liaise with third-party providers and maintain IT asset records
What we're looking for:
  1. 2-3 years' IT Service Desk or IT Support experience
  2. Knowledge of ITIL processes & ITSM tools (Freshservice, Jira)
  3. Strong understanding of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and remote support tools
  4. Basic networking skills (switches, patching)
  5. Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach

Desirable: Linux (Debian/Ubuntu), macOS/iOS device support, Microsoft InTune, Teams, Windows Server administration.

Shift & Travel:

This role follows a shift rota for 24/7 coverage and may require occasional travel to overseas offices.
