The London Borough of Hackney’s Children and Education Directorate is seeking a highly organised and professional Service Co-ordinator to join our Children’s Integrated Commissioning Service. You will be primarily responsible for supporting the Head of Commissioning and their senior team of Strategic Commissioning Managers covering the breadth of children’s social care, education and health services in Hackney.
As the Service Co-ordinator, you will have lead responsibility for a wide range of administrative and support functions. This is a dynamic post in a fast paced working environment where your key responsibilities will include :
Communication Hub Acting as the first point of contact for the service area, filtering calls and emails, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining confidentiality.
Diary & Meeting Management Maintaining the service area’s electronic diaries, coordinating regular and irregular meetings, and arranging management representation.
Meeting Support Collating and distributing meeting papers in a timely manner, providing accurate and complex minute-taking, and tracking progress on actions.
Correspondence & Reporting Receiving and coordinating incoming correspondence, drafting outgoing letters and emails, and producing high-quality data, reports, and meeting papers in formats like Excel and PowerPoint.
Service Support Being part of project teams and undertaking activities to support the delivery of agreed objectives and activities.
Systems Management Ensuring robust and accurate data entry into case management systems and finance systems, being responsible for the development and maintenance of internal IT and manual systems.
Collaboration Fostering relationships with key contacts and partners and providing proactive assistance and “buddy cover” to colleagues.
