Following an internal promotion, we’re looking for a Service Centre Manager to lead our state‑of‑the‑art Birmingham Service Centre. This is a pivotal role in shaping the future of our UK operations, combining strategic leadership, operational excellence, and cultural transformation.

Officially opened by His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent in 2021, the Birmingham Service Centre is home to around 100 skilled professionals, specialising in the overhaul, repair, and upgrade of pumps, turbines, compressors, and other rotating machinery. We work with leading global energy companies, utilities, and industrial operators to deliver reliability and innovation.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:
  • Own the P&L for the Birmingham Service Centre, delivering expected returns without compromising safety or customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and role model positive health and safety behaviours, embedding a strong safety culture across all areas.
  • Develop and maintain a future‑proofed organisation, maximising capability and managing talent effectively.
  • Execute business growth plans, realising market and product opportunities while managing risk.
  • Build and coach a high‑performing management team, embedding consistent standards and operational excellence.
  • Monitor and report on performance using key metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Commercial teams to align resources and operational capability with customer requirements (SIOP).
  • Embed compliance and operational excellence best practices across all activities.
  • Communicate strategy and results effectively within and across the regional operations organisation.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • Proven people leadership in an operational setting, including managing management teams.
  • Experience in business/P&L management, services/aftermarket environments, and ideally business growth or transformation.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental practices and legislation.
  • LEAN/Continuous Improvement experience (desirable).
  • NEBOSH qualification (desirable).
