Hours : Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm | No weekends

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our busy workshop. This role is perfect for someone highly skilled, confident, and NVQ Level 3 qualified (additional specialist training desirable) who can diagnose and repair a wide variety of faults across modern Petrol, Diesel, and Hybrid vehicles . You will work on complex mechanical tasks, high-level diagnostics, and customer-facing communication in a supportive and professional setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work independently on complex mechanical jobs , including :
  • Cylinder head repairs / rebuilds and valvetrain replacements
  • Timing chain / belt replacement (including in-oil types)
  • Perform routine maintenance and component replacement , including clutches, transmissions, braking systems (ABS, EPB), engine management, and emissions control systems :
  • Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and AdBlue systems
  • Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs)
  • High Pressure Direct Injection (GDI)
  • NoX Particulate traps and monitoring
  • Diagnose defects quickly and accurately across all makes and models
  • Provide clear, accurate feedback to reception and customers
  • Complete standard servicing and repairs in line with ICME / AutoData standard times
  • Ensure all parts, consumables, and service records are properly logged
  • Maintain a tidy, organised workspace and return any unused or exchange parts
About You
  • NVQ Level 3 qualified (minimum); additional specialist accreditations desirable
  • 5+ years' experience in a busy workshop environment
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills across cars and light commercial vehicles
  • Confident with modern vehicle systems (Petrol, Diesel, Hybrid) and emissions technology
  • Excellent customer communication skills
  • Reliable, professional, detail-oriented, and capable of working unsupervised
  • Possess a comprehensive personal tool kit
