  • Good base understanding of tyre thermo-mechanical models or FE models.
  • Solid understanding of vehicle dynamics, including suspension kinematics and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and parameterise a variety of tyre models.
  • Understand and characterise all aspects of tyre performance.
  • Develop and maintain various tyre models for vehicle performance simulations.
  • Conduct vehicle/simulation data analysis.
  • Support tyre-specific simulator testing.
  • Problem solving in areas of vehicle dynamics.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Tyre Modelling Engineer to join our Simulation group within our Performance Group at Enstone. This position will play a crucial role in helping us push for podiums and race wins. Responsibilities
  • To develop and parameterise a variety of tyre models including Thermal Mechanical Model to ensure they accurately reflect real world performance of tyres
  • To understand and characterise all aspects of tyre performance through research and development of state-of-the-art characterisation techniques
  • Development and maintenance of various tyre models used for vehicle performance simulations
  • Vehicle / Simulation / Simulator data analysis to assess tyre model correlation and identify tyre model parameters
  • Support tyre-specific simulator testing, including test specification, real time support during testing, post-test data analysis and reporting
  • Problem solving in areas of vehicle dynamics and performance as required by the team’s priorities
  • The position is factory based

  • Proficient in MATLAB, Python, or C/C++/C#
