About the role

We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual with relevant experience to take on the role of Transaction Manager, specifically focusing on EV Charging transactions in the UK. This individual will also provide real estate support to the wider team in order to achieve our EV targets.

The chosen candidate will have the responsibility of overseeing the end-to-end process for all real estate transactions, starting from the initial agreement all the way through the legal procedures until the deal is finalized. This position plays a critical role in our efforts to expand our network of EV charging stations throughout the United Kingdom.

The role report to the Director of Property, who in turn reports directly to the CEO. The property team will include a junior surveyor who will support the Transaction Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the delivery of the end-to-end transactions which support the roll out of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, including freehold and leasehold land acquisitions
  • Manage the brokers who are responsible for securing opportunities to ensure all feasible opportunities are converted and are managed with speed to completion
  • Assess the feasibility of proposed schemes and have regard for matters such as tenure, boundary issues, existing tenancies and restrictions/covenants
  • Work with the Design & Engineering team to help evaluate suitable land parcel opportunities and create initial layout designs ahead of landlord and developer consultation
  • Internal and external stakeholder management - working in conjunction with the wider internal team as well as third-party contractors to deliver the programme
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for optimising internal processes and maximise efficiency
  • Awareness of where/when wayleaves/easements are required and the negotiation thereof
  • Proactively refine and adapt the processes in place to ensure an efficient, speedy transaction process
  • Support in the due diligence process for potential sites, including title searches, surveys, environmental assessments, and other necessary investigations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date transaction records and documentation
