Responsibilities
  • Deliver planning projects from inception through to completion, including preparing planning applications, site appraisals, and providing strategic advice to clients and stakeholders.
  • Liaise closely with local authorities, developers, and multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring projects comply with legislation and meet client expectations.
  • Mentor junior colleagues, sharing knowledge and helping to develop the next generation of planning professionals.
  • Provide expert planning advice on a wide variety of projects, from small-scale developments to large, complex schemes.
  • Prepare, submit, and manage planning applications and appeals.
  • Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and impact analyses.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and help grow the consultancy's portfolio.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline and Chartered RTPI status.
  • Significant experience in a consultancy environment delivering planning projects across multiple sectors.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK planning legislation, policy, and procedures.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Benefits
