The Role

The Senior Technical Surveyor will take responsibility for complex repairs, technical operations and leading a team of Maintenance Surveyors. The role will deliver robust, high quality maintenance services, ensure compliance, and help raise the standards of the organisation\'s building stock.

What the role involves
  • Leading and developing a team of Maintenance Surveyors, setting standards and tracking performance
  • Overseeing high-risk, complex repairs and major works, ensuring all projects comply with policy and regulatory standards
  • Carrying out technical audits and implementing or optimising electronic surveying systems
  • Acting as escalation point for difficult technical questions, contractor or consultant issues and quality assurance
  • Collaborating with senior technical and asset teams to drive continuous improvement in maintenance services
  • Engaging with residents to ensure their experience meets expectations and feedback is used to make tangible improvements

  • HNC or equivalent qualification in building, construction, or surveyor-related subject
  • Significant technical surveying experience in housing, maintenance or construction environments
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations, housing law, compliance and standards
