Job summary

A financial services company in the UK is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to provide technical leadership in Treasury Systems. Business Unit: Payments and Treasury Systems
Salary range: £49,600 - £62,000 per annum DOE
Location: UK Hybrid – Work from anywhere in the UK, with flexibility to occasionally visit Glasgow or Gosforth HUB.
Contract type: Permanent – Full time

Our Team

The Treasury Systems team support the development, delivery, maintenance and continuous improvement of Treasury Systems technology in Virgin Money. We support Calypso, Kapiti, Refinitiv, Bloomberg and Marketwire. Our role is to work closely with our Business users and partner resources configuring the applications to business requirements, and to provide ongoing support and maintenance.

What you’ll be doing
  • Provide technical leadership for system change confirming the end-to-end solution integrity.
  • Engaging business users and technical stakeholders to resolve complex system issues.
  • Pro-actively managing the Treasury infrastructure to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Understanding complex business issues to determine the best technical solutions.
  • Managing supplier resources to deliver technical change and support.
  • Liaising with 3rd party software package suppliers.
  • Contributing to technical strategies, plans and roadmaps.
  • Contributing to activities operational resilience reviews, exit strategies, cyber threats, etc.
We need you to have
  • In-depth knowledge of Treasury, Calypso or Kapiti.
  • Background in systems development work across all lifecycle stages.
  • Experience of taking a lead role in technical delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator.
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential
  • Knowledge of retail banking and payment and treasury systems
  • Knowledge of Payments infrastructure
  • Experience of mentoring others.
