Job summary

Integral Cooling Technologies | Industrial Refrigeration Division are seeking a Technical Sales Manager to own major bids from initial client conversations to tender submission across the Midlands and Birmingham.

You'll lead the bid, shape practical, cost-efficient solutions and ensure compliant, well-priced tenders with net margins. This is a technical sales role rather than account management, requiring strong negotiation and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience leading bids from concept through tender submission.
• Proven track record of £500k–£6m bids and annual orders.
• Ability to manage formal design review gates and contract gates.
• Commercial negotiation at senior client level.
• Understanding of energy use, whole-life cost and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build and qualify the pipeline with senior client relationships.
• Turn briefs into practical, cost-efficient boilerplate solutions.
• Own the tender process and write precise scopes and exclusions.
• Lead cross-functional bid teams across design, estimating, procurement and delivery.
• Ensure bid compliance with BS EN 378, PED, CDM 2015 and related regs.
• Present, defend and hand over successful tenders to delivery teams.
• Coach and develop bid support resources and maintain output quality.
