Integral Cooling Technologies, Industrial Refrigeration Division, seeks a Technical Sales Manager to own major bids from initial client conversations to fully compliant tenders. You will interpret briefs, shape cost-efficient solutions and present schemes in the £500k–£6m range that win work and deliver margin.

This is a technical sales role—not account management—requiring leadership of bids across design, estimating, procurement, and delivery, with nationwide travel and frequent interaction

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in UK industrial refrigeration.
• Proven track record leading bids £500k–£6m and meeting intake targets.
• Experience leading sales from concept through tender to award.
• Experience with design review gates and contract reviews.
• Commercial negotiation at senior client level (price, scope, terms).
• Strong knowledge of BS EN 378 and Pressure Equipment Regulations; understands DSEAR, CDM 2015, F-Gas.
• Ammonia plant knowledge with two‑stage systems.
• Ability to develop concept designs and perform heat load/duty calculations; read P&IDs.
• Knowledge of food manufacturing, cold storage and logistics.
• Ability to build detailed cost models and write scoping documents.
• Experience managing at least one direct report.
• Strong MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook and CRM skills.
• UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.

Responsabilités

• Build and qualify the pipeline with senior client and contractor relationships.
• Turn briefs into practical, cost-efficient concepts and schemes.
• Own the tender process from programme to price and scope definitions.
• Ensure bid compliance with EN 378, PED, CDM, DSEAR and F-Gas requirements.
• Lead across design, estimating, procurement, delivery and finance to a single bid programme.
• Direct and coach bid support resources while maintaining lead responsibility.
• Handover the winning bid to Contracts/Project Management and ensure accuracy of sold scope.
