  • Prepare personal tax returns and 60-day CGT returns for residential property disposals.
  • Advise on income tax, capital gains tax, and stamp duty land tax.
  • Calculate tax liabilities and advise on payments under self-assessment.
  • Finalise lifetime tax affairs for deceased individuals.
  • Prepare estate accounts and handle tax during the administration period.
  • Draft inheritance tax forms for trusts.

Permanent Vacancy – Senior Tax Accountant
Location: East Anglia (onsite in Bury St. Edmunds once a week)
Salary: Negotiable based on experience
Contract Type: Permanent

We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable individual to join our Lifetime Planning team, providing expert advice and support to a diverse client base including private individuals, executors, trustees, and attorneys.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare personal tax returns and 60-day CGT returns for residential property disposals
  • Advise on income tax, capital gains tax, and stamp duty land tax
  • Calculate tax liabilities and advise on payments under self-assessment
  • Finalise lifetime tax affairs for deceased individuals
  • Prepare estate accounts and handle tax during the administration period
  • Draft inheritance tax forms for trusts and tax deduction certificates
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams, including international property specialists
  • Support and mentor junior team members
  • Promote trust and tax services internally and externally
About You
  • Chartered Accountancy/Tax qualification
  • Strong experience in tax and trust accounting, including complex estates and overseas domiciles
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Confident working with private clients and legal professionals
