Job summary

A leading biotechnology firm in Cambridge is seeking a Systems Engineer responsible for delivering cutting-edge solutions within the biological sample and clinical instruments space. In this role, you will take ownership of system requirements, coordinate design subsystems, and liaise with customers during projects. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Controls Engineering or equivalent, alongside at least 3 years of relevant experience and strong skills in project planning and communication.

Qualifications

  • Degree level or equivalent experience in Controls Engineering or related field.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with System-V model, including verification and validation.

Responsibilities

  • Takes ownership of complex system requirements, translating customer needs into engineering requirements.
  • Coordinates design of subsystems ensuring integration of the total system.
  • Serves as the primary technical resource for design and debugging during product completion.
