Job description
Overview

Niyaa People require a Chartered Senior Surveyor, to oversee a small surveying team for a Housing Association in Staffordshire.

The Senior Surveyor will lead on all disrepair, damp & mould, complex repairs, and provide expert witness statements.

Senior Surveyor duties
  • Lead a team of Surveyors in the Repairs team, overseeing the day to day operations and support the management of repairs cases
  • Carry out joint surveys and provide detailed technical reports and Scott Schedules for disrepair cases and liaise with legal representatives where necessary to ensure successful claims resolution
  • Effectively manage the delivery of repairs, disrepair, damp & mould and complex repairs
  • Provide management, strong leadership and guidance to guide and motive staff
  • Maintain accurate records of all surveys, reports, and inspections and ensure the effective use of the CRM, Housing Management and Contractor Systems
Requirements
  • Minimum degree standard qualification, with Chartered status preferred
  • Extensive experience in similar role and managing disrepair cases
  • Expert knowledge of building defects, repairs, and disrepair legislation (including landlord obligations under the Housing Act)
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
