About the Role

This UK-based structural and civil engineering practice provides expert advice and design services across a wide variety of projects. Main Responsibilities

This Senior Engineer role offers hybrid office/home working and involvement in a diverse range of projects including residential, industrial, commercial, hotels, sports, hospitality, leisure, education and more.

The successful candidate will work within a small team, take ownership of projects and their own workload, and collaborate closely with structural engineering colleagues. This role is ideal for a structural engineer ready to step up into a Senior position.

You will:

• Produce design solutions from initial concept through to detailed design.
• Prepare structural calculations in accordance with Eurocodes.
• Design in reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, timber and foundations.
• Prepare PDF mark-ups of designs.
• Compile calculation packs for Building Control submission.
• Prepare technical reports.
• Communicate directly with clients and the wider design team.
• Attend meetings and undertake site visits.

Skills, Education & Qualifications Preferred

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years' relevant experience.
• Comfortable working to current UK design and construction standards.
• Good working knowledge of TEKLA TEDDS and TSD.
• Familiar with PDF mark-up software (e.g., Bluebeam Revu).
• Experience with CDE collaboration platforms is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and written English.
• Ability to work within a team to solve meaningful engineering problems.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
