Overview

Our client, a nationwide Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy, is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer in their London office (Zone 1). The location offers exceptional transport links: within a 10-minute walk you'll find Old Street, Barbican, and Farringdon stations, providing direct access to Northern, Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan, Elizabeth Line, and Thameslink services, enabling fast, no-change connections across London, Hertfordshire, Essex, Kent, Sussex, Heathrow, and beyond to Reading or Brighton.

The Senior Structural Engineer will have experience in multi-storey RC Frame projects and is offered a salary up to £58k (possibly more for more senior individuals), with flexible and hybrid working, enhanced pension, bonus and flexible benefits on top.

The Senior Structural Engineer will have development potential as the company grows across all offices, with a clear line to Principal and Associate positions. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience within a UK consultancy and be working towards chartership, with excellent knowledge of British Standards and Eurocodes.

Job Requirements

• 5+ years' experience within a UK consultancy
• Experience on multi-storey RC Frame projects
• Experience with software: TEKLA Structural Designer, Robot and TEDDS
• Ability to design to British Standards or Eurocode
• Knowledge of steel, concrete, timber and load bearing masonry structures
• A BEng or MEng in Civil/Structural Engineering or Engineering Design
• Chartered member of the relevant body such as IStructE
• Experience across several sectors - Commercial, educational, residential, health and leisure
• Experience of conceptual design, project management including programming works and experience in leading a small team
