Qualifications

• Knowledge of relevant law, guidance, and policies relating to planning.
• Ability to articulate information clearly.
• Eligible for full membership of the Institute of Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review the Development Plan and its supporting documents.
• Prepare policy responses to planning applications and Government consultations.
• Support neighbourhood planning proposals by the local community.
• Maintain and collect evidence for the Development Plan.
• Represent the Authority at public inquiries and hearings.
• Attend Council Committees and other meetings.
