Overview

Role: Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist

Location: The Lister Hospital, Chelsea, London

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Saturday, with contribution to Bank Holidays and on-call service on rota basis

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Competitive Depending on Experience with Excellent Benefits

Responsibilities
  • Support the clinical pharmacy service across inpatient wards, ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines through activities such as medicines reconciliation, clinical screening and patient counselling, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop clinical guidelines, participate in audits, and contribute to staff training across the hospital.
  • Act as an ambassador for the pharmacy department, helping to drive continuous improvement in medicines management and promoting evidence-based prescribing.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent
  • GPhC Registration
  • Minimum 2 years post-registration experience in a hospital setting (desirable)
  • Working towards or completed a postgraduate diploma in Clinical or General Pharmacy Practice (desirable)
  • Excellent clinical, communication and organisational skills
  • Experience in training, clinical audit, or guideline development (desirable)
