As the Senior Software Engineer, you will lead development of first-class technical solutions whilst also actively contributing to and leading a culture of innovation, enthusiasm and passion. You will work with Engineering Managers and Product Management to support the goals and objectives on your team. You will have a focus on end-to-end responsibility for the development, quality, observability, and testing of the software you build.

Responsibilities

• Work with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and Engineering Leadership to design solutions and consider trading off technical and operational considerations
• Interact with cross-functional engineering teams across the company to improve efficiency and reduce bottlenecks
• Take responsibility for key aspects of the development life cycle, from design to implementation, testing, security, and maintenance
• Ensure testing and security standards are well embedded into the software the team produces
• Actively participate in a community of practice for engineering to develop and share knowledge
• Lead design reviews, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility with peers and colleagues
• Address all aspects of technology and service readiness
• Effectively participate in the team\'s software development methodologies, such as pairing, code and documentation reviewing and continuous delivery
• Mentor other members of the team

Qualifications

• Experience building scalable, highly available services and products
• Exposure to headless technologies
• A desire to upskill our mobile team with back-end technologies
• A willingness to learn and expand knowledge in the mobile space
• Knowledge of security engineering practises and methods
• Technical expert in a chosen domain, with a willingness to adapt to new technologies to support the team
• Creative problem solver who organises a team around a challenge
• Work with agile methodologies and lean thinking methods
• Active learner, both within your technical and professional area of expertise
