Suffolk - Social Care Team – Senior Social Worker – Up to 39ph
  • Location: Stowmarket, Suffolk (Hybrid – 3 days in the office)
  • Pay Rate: Up to £39 per hour
  • Contract: Ongoing Locum Contract
About the role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join a busy and supportive Social Care Team based in Stowmarket, Suffolk. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility with 3 days required in the office.

You will be working across Assessment, Children in Need (CIN), and Child Protection (CP) pathways, undertaking statutory responsibilities and ensuring the highest standards of practice are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out assessments under Section 17 and Section 47 of the Children Act 1989
  • Manage and review CIN and CP plans, ensuring child-centred and outcome-focused practice
  • Work collaboratively with families, partner agencies and professionals to safeguard children
  • Prepare clear and concise reports for conferences and court as required
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development
