Job Opportunity: Senior Social Worker

Position Details
  • Salary: Up to £50,360 per annum
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Hours: Full-time
Main Duties
  1. Manage social work caseloads of a more complex nature with high levels of autonomy.
  2. Provide expert professional and technical advice to other Social Workers, managers, colleagues, and partners.
  3. Supervise other Social Workers, supporting caseload management and promoting reflective practice and continuous professional development.
  4. Demonstrate skilled use of various frameworks for assessment and intervention.
  5. Model and foster social work professionalism and effective caseload management among team members.
  6. Establish and maintain a network of internal and external colleagues to support effective practice.
  7. Prepare court reports and act as an expert witness in Care or Private Order proceedings.
  8. Chair professional meetings with inter-agency partners and clients.
  9. Produce management information and analysis.
  10. Participate in team planning and contribute to the delivery of team and service plans.
  11. Ensure compliance with relevant standards, including the Social Work Professional Capabilities Framework (Experienced Social Worker level).
Requirements
  • Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
