Job Title – Senior Site Engineer

Project – Mainly Commercial

Job Location – North West – Tyrone / Fermanagh/ Derry/Londonderry

Salary – £30K - £40K + package

*Salary Negotiable depending on Experience*

About the Company

New opportunity to work with a very busy Main Contractor from NI who specialise in in commercial new builds.

They have secured a number of interesting new projects in the North West region and are keep to add a strong engineer to their team.

This role would suit someone based in the Tyrone/ Fermanagh area who is commuting to Belfast at the moment and wants something closer to home as work is exclusively in the West.

The successful applicant will get the opportunity to progress in to managing their own projects in the Near Future.

The Role

• Setting out and checking works as required for the project and ensuring all works are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations.
• Liaise with sub-contractors and personnel on site in in the planning and construction of the project and checking that works are completed as per drawings.
• Support the Project Manager/ Contracts Manager/ Site Manager to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.
• Work with design team and architects to quickly and efficiently overcome any technical issues that may arise during the construction stage
• Maintain excellent relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors and site personnel.
• Update the site diary and assist with QA/QC inspections.

Requirements

• A Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience with a Main Contractor in Northern Ireland.
• Experience in both commercial and residential works is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to use setting out instruments is essential and being competent in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works co-ordination.
• Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint.
