Job description

We have a temporary part time 24hrs per week vacancy (fixed term contract until 31st January 2027) for a Senior Shift Team Member, shift work including weekends and sleep in shifts (£70.47 per sleep in shift)

The main purpose of the job is to understand and work with adults who may have experienced trauma linked to homelessness, addiction, mental or physical health needs, family breakdown, criminal activity and other disadvantages.

The post holder will be part of a team providing person centred and trauma informed support to single homeless people living within homeless services accommodation.

You will be working across these four projects -

  • The Somewhere Safe to Stay Hub
  • Bishopbridge House
  • Dibden Road Hostel
  • St Martins House
We are looking for:
  • Someone with the passion and drive to support anyone finding themselves in this situation.
  • Evidence of emotional resilience and tenacity to provide support, even when faced with resistance.
  • Experience of supporting people who have poor mental health, addictions or who are ex-offenders.
  • Ability and willingness to be flexible.
  • Someone to demonstrate confidence, adaptability and conscientiousness, have empathy with the people we support and the determination to make a difference.
