About the Role

As Senior Service Manager for the Imaging Division, you will have delegated responsibility and autonomy for the delivery of safe and effective imaging services, ensuring all targets and deadlines are met. You will provide leadership for the admin workforce, play a key role in service delivery and utilisation, and contribute to the development of business plans and strategy. You’ll work closely with the Imaging Senior Leadership Team, Divisional Managers, Modality Leads, Consultant Medical Staff, Radiographers, Workforce, Finance, and system partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage administration services within the Imaging Division
  • Ensure patient safety and promote patient choice
  • Responsible for policy/service development as directed, in line with best practice, national guidelines and NHS performance targets
  • Manage operational workforce KPIs and HR policies
  • Support education and training needs for staff
  • Oversee financial and physical resources
  • Develop and implement service improvements and audits
  • Represent the division in contract negotiations and service level agreements
  • Respond to patient complaints and facilitate change
  • Promote flexible working and wellbeing initiatives
Person Specification
  • Knowledge of health service management, including change management and workforce/service redesign
  • Proven experience as an effective operational manager within an NHS organisation
  • Demonstrable staff management experience, including roster management
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to inclusive team working, honesty, and integrity
