Overview

Job Title: Senior Security Advisor - Assurance

What you'll be doing
  • Engaging in the business supplier lifecycle, undertaking business risk analysis, audit and assurance activities within BAE Systems and the Supply Chain and compliance enforcement
  • Managing and reviewing an audit schedule both within the business and within the supply chain
  • Liaising with customers and partners across the business and traveling to various supplier sites within the UK, occasional Non UK
  • Facilitating Specialist Working Groups drawing subject matter expertise from the business and customer to develop and improve information security policies and practices to deploy within BAE and the supply chain
  • Consulting with major programmes and IT projects to ensure they comply with information security policies
  • Monitoring information security controls in the supply chain against government policy and contractual obligations to ensure their effective operation
  • Investigating contraventions of information security policies, providing recommendations on resolution and future preventative and improvement actions
Your skills and experiences

Essential:

  • Valid UK Driver's license
  • Experience in Assurance or auditing
  • Demonstrable experience writing reports and ability to work on high level projects
  • Previous experience managing staff

Desirable:

  • Experience within CNI, Defence or a similar regulated environment

The Risk and Assurance team

The post holder will execute security responsibilities for one or more Security workstreams in order to protect BAE Systems, its people, infrastructure, information and assets, as well as the interests of its shareholders and customers, and to fulfill regulatory and legal obligations. If applicable, you will provide a line management service to team members ensuring development of the team, demonstrating leadership behaviours. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
