A leading healthcare provider in the United Kingdom is seeking an enthusiastic physiotherapist ready for a band 6 position. The successful candidate will rotate through various clinical areas every 9 months, gaining diverse experience including respiratory, orthopaedics, and acute medicine. Responsibilities include supervising students and junior staff while participating in ongoing training and service development. The salary ranges from £38,682 to £46,580 annually plus a high-cost allowance.
We are looking for an enthusiastic physiotherapist who has completed a variety of band 5 rotations and is ready to take on the responsibilities and challenges of a band 6 position. This post includes respiratory on-call and weekend responsibilities and some rotation specific extended hours/ rostered weekend working.
You will have opportunity to rotate every 9 months through a broad range of clinical areas including:
Respiratory (critical care, surgery and cardiorespiratory)
Lane-Fox REMEO Unit (satellite unit for Lane-Fox Weaning Unit at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital for long term, complex respiratory patients)
Orthopaedics (Elective, trauma and day surgery)
Care of the Elderly (Inpatient Wards and Intermediate Care Wards)
Acute Medicine (General medicine, haematology/oncology and endocrinology)
Front Door Services (Emergency department, acute medical unit, ambulatory care, Outpatient Frailty Unit)
Neurology (Acute stroke unit including hyperacute care and an outlier service for neurological patients on other wards in the Trust)
You will also be involved in supervising students, band 5s and support staff and provide in-service training to more junior staff. All of our band 6s our encouraged to continue developing their own clinical and leadership skills through ongoing supervision and training (internal and external) and will be expected to take an active role in service development projects under guidance from their team leaders.
