The role focuses on high‑growth SMEs and will involve market‑gap lending and investment, helping business plans mature and managing relationships beyond traditional banking. The emphasis is on "more than money" support and strong relationship management.

Job Responsibilities
  • Originate lending and investment opportunities for the East Coast Investment Fund, including creation, management and development of a prospective debt deal pipeline.
  • Market and promote the business across the South region and partner organisations; manage deal pipeline marketing and promotion.
  • Respond to inbound enquiries, conduct preliminary eligibility reviews and refer to debt or equity investment managers as appropriate.
  • Record deal enquiries and flow using the CRM system.
  • Research potential businesses suitable for SWIF support.
  • Support origination and appraisal of primarily debt funding proposals.
  • Present to and meet with funders, accountants and other potential introducers across the region.
  • Attend and speak at relevant SWIF roadshows, partner events, local or sector cluster networking events.
  • Manage relationships with Growth Hub and other partners in the region.
  • Signpost SMEs to relevant support networks when a proposal is not investment ready or requires additional support before engagement with the investment team.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrable experience in originating, marketing, promotion and relationship‑building within a funding or business support environment, and SME & partner engagement activity.
  • Evidence of a strong professional network of introducers within the South Coast area.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to market funds to online prospects and interact at all management levels.
  • A high level of IT proficiency, especially Microsoft Office 365 products.
What We Offer
  • A competitive base salary commensurate with experience.
  • Pro‑rated annual leave based on a 25‑day FTE plus Bank holidays in England & Wales, plus a birthday off.
  • 1 day per year for Corporate Social Responsibility purposes.
  • 8 % employer contribution to pension scheme.
  • Death in Service benefit equivalent to 4 × salary.
  • 50 % funded private medical scheme, income protection and health cash plan scheme.
Role Conditions

The role is primarily home based but you should have own transport to travel to customers and introducers. Access to a good quality/speed home internet is a must.
