Job description

This is a great opportunity to join the Drake Hall team as a senior psychologist. The post involves leading the Drake Hall Women's Estate Psychology Service (WEPS) team, maintaining a clinical caseload, and working alongside the prison Senior Management Team to reduce risk and increase safety for women in custody and the community.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the WEPS team and coordinate clinical supervision for trainees.
  • Maintain and deliver a clinical caseload focused on forensic and safety‑related work.
  • Provide psychological formulation and multi‑agency support for staff and women.
  • Engage in parole and sentence planning, and other risk‑management activities.
  • Collaborate with local operational leaders and broader prison teams.
Qualifications & Experience
  • HCPC registered Forensic Psychologist.
  • Professional background in Psychology.
  • Minimum 18 months post‑registration experience (two years required to formally take up the role).
  • Experience providing clinical supervision and completing relevant training in evidence‑based treatment models.
  • Preferred: Chartered Psychologist with membership of the relevant BPS division.
