A leading engineering company is seeking a Senior Radioactive Waste Engineer to manage waste governance, provide technical support, and ensure compliance with UK nuclear legislation. Located in Plymouth with hybrid working arrangements, the ideal candidate should possess a degree in a relevant subject and significant expertise in radioactive waste management. As a Senior Radioactive Waste Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary where your expertise will directly contribute to national security and environmental protection, while accelerating your career in a dynamic and highly regulated industry.
Day-to-day, you’ll be part of a specialist team focused on site‑wide waste governance, technical support and project integration. You’ll oversee waste engineers, provide expert advice, and deliver solutions that ensure compliance with environmental legislation and nuclear safety standards.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 1 days in the office/onsite and 4 days working from home.
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
