Job summary

A leading recruitment agency seeks a Planning Specialist for a 6-month contract in Barrow. The role offers £53.90 per hour and requires over 5 years of planning experience, ideally in Engineering. Responsibilities include managing Engineering delivery plans and data analytics. Candidates must be eligible for SC and willing to work on UK projects only. Job description

Location: Barrow (2 days bi-weekly onsite)

Duration: 6 Month Contract Initially

Rate: £53.90 per hour umbrella (Inside IR35)

Notes: Will be working on UK eyes only projects, must be eligible for SC

Overview

Looking for someone with planning experience - ideally 5+ years experience. Doesn't have to be subs. As long as its project control. Ideally someone with Engineering planning experience (desirable). P6 experience is extremely desirable. Role has come available as current role holder has moved to a different part of the business.

On a day to day they'll sit within a planning team. Give some guidance/support to planners. Will interact daily with the delivery team to help them.

Key Deliverables (Include but not limited to)
  • Actively managing the construction of Engineering delivery plans across Stage 2/3 Engineering, as well as maintaining governance of these plans through maintenance cycles.
  • Be responsible for data analytics, communicating known issues, variances, and open dependencies to all stakeholders.
  • Use and apply various toolsets and application to manipulate a variety of Engineering data sets that support the team's delivery into the Engineering function.
  • Oversee the alignment of Engineering Delivery to the build programme, whilst identifying misalignment and providing possible mitigation actions to key stakeholders.
  • Lead and maintain Project Management and Control Processes across your work scope.
Key Skills & Knowledge
  • Good understanding of the structure, organisation, processes and culture of line of business, so as to be able to support implementation of appropriate PM&C approaches
  • Prior experience within a Project Controls/Project Management environment
  • An ability to gather information and experience of supporting with the development of solutions and of implementation approaches
  • Good experience of cross functional team integration across multiple projects
  • Experience of Microsoft Office functions; Excel (the generation and manipulation of data), Outlook, PowerPoint (construction of presentations and reports) and Word
