A regional healthcare organization is seeking a Project Manager to lead various initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree, a project management qualification, and strong leadership skills. This role involves working autonomously as well as within teams across the organization. The position offers a fixed-term contract of 2 years based in Portsmouth, with a competitive salary range of £55,690 - £62,682 per annum.

Band 8a: £55,690 - £62,682
Hours: 37.5 per week
Location: Base location either St Mary's Hospital, Parkhurst Road, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 5TG, or Building 4000, Lakeside, North Harbour, Cosham, Portsmouth, PO6 3EN. Across site travel may be required, the frequency will be agreed locally
Fixed Term Contract - 2 years
The Digital services aim to drive improvement across the organisation and the integrated care system, working with our system partners to improve the sustainability of high value service delivery for our patient population.
The post-holder will assist in the design of work at the complex end of project and programme management. You will need to be an ambassador for improvement and model the integrity, patient focused and value for money behaviours essential to sustainable improvement. You will be expected to work within a clearly defined competency framework and will receive support and training to enable you to do this effectively.
As a Project Manager, you will lead a variety of projects within key programmes, working autonomously on some areas and closely with the Programme Manager and the rest of the team.
The post-holder will need to work across different levels of the organisation with a high level of autonomy, self‑drive & motivation, to inspire, design and lead projects. You will be able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within teams to achieve the plan set out.
The role requires the individual to engage with a complex agenda and to support the organisation in driving forward the quality agenda.
