Job description

A well-established construction consultancy based in North London is looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager to oversee large-scale education and commercial new build projects across the region. The consultancy is known for its excellent reputation in the public and private sectors and its strong emphasis on quality client delivery.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with strong leadership skills and a track record of delivering £10m+ schemes from inception to completion. The Senior Project Manager will take on a client-facing leadership role with responsibility for key accounts.

The Senior Project Manager’s role

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading project teams across pre- and post-contract phases. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading large-scale construction projects (£10m-£40m) in education and commercial sectors

  • Managing stakeholder engagement, including government clients and institutional investors

  • Overseeing planning, design development, procurement and delivery stages

  • Administering JCT and NEC contracts

  • Mentoring junior team members and overseeing quality assurance

The Senior Project Manager will play a strategic role in client retention and development while ensuring technical delivery standards are met.

The Senior Project Manager

The successful Senior Project Manager will have:

  • Degree qualified in a construction-related discipline

  • Minimum 5+ years in a consultancy setting, with at least 1 years at Senior PM level

  • MRICS, MCIOB or MAPM status

  • Demonstrable experience delivering large new build schemes

  • Strong communication and team leadership skills

  • Familiarity with DfE and other public sector frameworks (advantageous)
