Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager (Pension Administration) to join our Pension Administration Operational Support area from any of our UK offices on a full-time, permanent basis (hybrid working).
A snapshot of your day:
- Successfully delivering complex projects within Pension Administration
- Writing project briefs and plans to document all project activities including project objectives, scope and accountabilities; timelines; costs and resources; risks;
- Tracking project progress, effort and cost against the project plan
- Creating and actively managing a communication plan to ensure that the project team and all stakeholders, including appropriate teams, are kept up to date with progress and expectations are managed
- Identifying potential project risks and managing agreed mitigating actions and project issues as they arise
- Managing business readiness activities
- Documenting lessons learned and formally closing the project with benefit realisation measures documented
- Providing advice on the management of projects; and liaising with project stakeholders and SME's to agree resources and lines of accountability
- Support and collaborate with other pension administration project managers and line reports to identify areas for development, support and training needs.
- Support the delivery of complex automation and digital transformation initiatives to improve service delivery across PACT, Operational Support and Operations Management areas
- Leverage technology to support change delivery within Pension Administration Operational Support area and wider business area; and support the delivery of system / process enhancements and integration to improve operational capabilities
- Ensure project compliance with pension regulations, industry standards, project management requirements and internal policies.
We would love to hear from if you have:
- Degree in a related field or Prince 2 Practitioner qualification or equivalent
- Excellent understanding of project management concepts and how they can be applied to the benefit of the business area
- Excellent understanding of the impact of different office/client/practice area stakeholder requirements
- Proven organisational and negotiation skills
- Emotional intelligence and ability to handle conflict resolution within projects
- Ability to adapt and respond positively to challenges or unexpected situations within projects
- Excellent communication skills
- Financial services industry and/or pensions administration industry experience is an advantage
